JOB TITLE: Dryer Pasteurizer Manager

Leading liquid & dry food ingredient processor supplying many of the major consumer food companies in the United States and abroad.

LOCATION: MN/IA area

SALARY: $60-70K + bonus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Dryer/Pasteurizer Manager has the overall responsibilities for the plant’s drying and pasteurizing operations and personnel.

Essential Functions

1. Direct and oversee the drying and pasteurization teams and their roles and responsibilities throughout the day.

2. Plan, schedule and coordinate dryer/pasteurizer production activities

3. Effectively staff the departments: interview, hire, train and develop employees

4. Work directly with production planning and materials management to assure production schedules are met.

5. Monitor daily product/monthly inventories including raw, finished goods and packaging.

6. Initiate cost savings measures relating to crewing, standards and yields.

7. Ensure all plant operations and business is conducted in a safe and controlled environment.

8. Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specification and policies are met or exceeded.

9. Review and evaluate quality, productivity, accuracy and costs vs. established standards. Take appropriate action when necessary to correct discrepancies.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree: prefer Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing Mgmt, or food science based

• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, etc.)

• Solid background/work experience in high-volume food manufacturing (5-8 years) – prefer egg industry or dairy experience with three years supervisory experience

• Mechanical and trouble-shooting skills helpful

Compensation

• Salary range: $60 - $70K
