JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Manager

LOCATION: Southwestern WI area (just south of Madison)

SALARY: $62-75K

QUALIFICATIONS: B.S Degree in Dairy/Food Science or Biological Sciences with a minimum of 3 years experience in dairy or food related industry as a Lab/QA/QC Supervisor/Manager.

SUMMARY: The overall purpose of the Quality Assurance Manager position is to implement and maintain Quality Assurance programs and Lab functions and to assist the Plant Management team in operating the plant in a safe, efficient, productive and profitable manner. Excellent communication skills and production processing knowledge is required. Reports to the Corp QA Mgr. Dotted line responsibility to the Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a leader in Food Safety through implementation and management of the HACCP Program and supporting pre-requisite programs including GMPs, Sanitation, Pest Control, Allergen Control, etc.

• Oversee the plant laboratory in ingredient, finished product and environmental testing including monitoring and reporting of all organoleptic, analytical and microbial testing.

• Serve as the plant liaison for third party, customer and regulatory audits including State, FDA, Kosher and Halal.

• Collaborate with plant management to continually improve areas of Quality, Safety and efficiencies by incorporation of best practices throughout the Quality System.

• Review product and process non-conformances and lead teams in defining corrective and preventative actions through modification of processes, procedures and employee training as applicable.

• Provide guidance and training of Quality Programs and Procedures to all plant personnel on a regular basis and as programs and procedures are updated or modified.

• Lead and develop the members of the quality team to meet the plant and their professional growth plans.

• Establish, maintain and communicate key performance indicators that provide timely information on plant quality and budget.
