JOB TITLE: Nutritionist/RD – Corp R&D

LOCATION: WI/IL area

SALARY: Competitive compensation package dependant upon your experience

Job Summary:

Experience within the Food Industry as a Nutritionist. R&D experience is not required. Ideal candidate would have a MS in nutrition....RD is a plus but not mandatory. Experience working in industry as a nutritionist, not as a food scientist. Do not need someone who knows how to develop foods but instead, someone who i s up on the latest trends/science in nutrition and can be a part of the team helping to drive development. Candidate should also be comfortable interacting with customers as this person would be the "nutrition face" of the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Participation in product development, pilot plant trials, ingredient evaluation and flavor selection

• Regulatory liaison for labeling, claims purposes etc.

• Serve as the Beverage "go to person" for all nutrition related questions

• Participate in customer projects providing direction as it relates to nutritional targets

• Serve as customer contact when discussing nutrition related topics

• Support account managers as needed (traveling to customers)

• Support marketing by staying abreast of latest nutritional beverage launches

• Identifying latest nutrition trends and educating internal sales/marketing/ R&D as well as company customers

• Support Custom Products ensuring company private label products are in line with the brand

• Serving as nutrition expert for targeted retailers

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

BS in Nutrition, RD (registered dietitian) preferred but not required.

Work experience - preferably 5+ years a branded food manufacture or food ingredient company.

Reports into Research and Development.

Future career path - ideally, candidate would have good communication skills that could lead to technical sales role.
