JOB TITLE: Food Technologist- Protein (Savory/Meat)
LOCATION: New Jersey
SALARY: to $95K
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Accountable to Flavor Applications Management
• Responsible for application of flavor samples to requisitions and new flavor creations
• May accompany account executives on sales calls as technical support
• Conduct research to advance technical knowledge or solve technical problems essential
to flavor development, food applications or delivery systems
• Assist in the development of creative flavor blends, concepts and applications in
new combinations to apply to meat, poultry and seasoning products
• Take a lead role in customer presentations
• Replicate products with flavor blends which already exist in the marketplace
• Possess knowledge of our customers' products and processes and apply this
knowledge to the development of new product concepts
• Establish the stability of flavors in different applications including setting up a storage study
system for evaluation of our different application systems
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers, sales people and co-workers on projects Profile
• Bachelor Degree in Food Science or related Applied Science
• An emphasis on meat and savory development is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, computer and organizational skills
• Ability to work in team environment
• Demonstrated understanding of product development, processing, flavor/ingredient technologies
• Demonstrated effective time management skills
