TITLE: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

DESCRIPTION:
Manages and oversees all aspects of manufacturing at two facilities (currently 7 different
production lines) including:
Hiring and staffing production personnel
Training
Efficiency and output improvement
Labor and OT budgeting and controlBudgeting and Planning
Cost improvement program
Yield improvement, waste reduction
Personnel scheduling daily, weekly
Production scheduling daily, weekly
Finished product consistency, quality and product review
Food safety
Safety program
Interacts daily production personnel on manufacturing floor
Involved and conversant with all daily production activities and issues
Key Team member- interacts frequently with management and staff members
Works side by side with Technical Director in implementing, improving and
maintaining quality and food safety programs
Accompanies all 3rd party and regulatory inspectors
Decision maker and leader
Manages and oversees maintenance department
Approves Pos and budget plans
Project Management
Capital Improvements
PM Programs
Manages and oversees inventory and material flow
Hiring and staffing warehouse personnel
Approves warehouse workload and staffing schedule
Warehouse plan and organization
Inventory systems and controls
Supervises purchasing
Supervises Scheduling
Approves all production schedules on daily and weekly basis
Approves all labor schedules on daily and weekly basis
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Strong, steady employment history
Problem solver
High energy
10+ years production supervision/management experience
10+ years food processing experience
Significant budgeting and planning experience
Successful, demonstrable history of operational excellence, achievements, results and improvements
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Strong people skills
4 year degree
PREFERRED SKILLS
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
Better Process School Certification
SQF Certification
Retort Experience
Process cheese manufacturing experience
