JOB TITLE: Scheduling/Planning Manager- Lunch Meat

SALARY: $70-80K

SUMMARY: To establish effective production plans and schedules that balance the requirements of customer service levels, plant efficiencies, and inventory management.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain and publish Production Plans.

2. Deliver daily production schedules for three-stage converting operation.

3. Balance plant operations with sufficient material flow to avoid out-of-stocks / overstocks at each conversion stage.

4. Manage department staff of three planners/schedulers.

5. Compile information for various tracking and reporting.

6. Represent Scheduling Department in daily production meetings with other department managers.

7. Work closely with other department managers and supervisors to resolve production issues and support continuous process improvement efforts.

8. Develop advanced-level understanding of plant operations routing/cycle times and maintain a current situational awareness of operational status.

9. Recommend and implement solutions in support of process changes, order expediting, preventive maintenance cycles, etc.



EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field required.

2. APICS CPIM Certification preferred.

3. Minimum 5 years experience as a planner/scheduler in a multi-stage manufacturing environment.

4. Minimum 3 years experience as a Scheduling Manager in a multi-stage manufacturing environment.

5. Minimum 3 years experience operating MRP scheduling software such as MS Dynamics AX, SAP, JD Edwards, or equivalent.

6. Scheduling software implementation experience preferred.
