JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Manager- Ground Beef
SALARY: Based on Experience
SUMMARY:
Provides a link between Management and Manufacturing on Quality issues.
This is accomplished by overseeing the Quality Lab, various Quality Programs
and insuring Governmental Compliance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• (4) Year degree in Food Science/Meat Science or other related field with at least (5)
years experience in Meat Processing.
• HACCP and SQF Certified.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Insure Governmental Compliance on products by enforcing standards and programs to support them.
• Insure Label Compliance, including nutritional, on old and new Labels.
• Continuous upgrade and review of Quality Programs.
• Develop/Implement various Quality Programs.
• Work with Supervisors, Employees, Management and Customers, providing them
with product information and technical assistance.
• Work with Production Manager on new product development.
• Evaluate current product formulas and provide advice and guidance to
Management regarding formulation options.
• Organize/Oversee microbiological sampling plans for Sanitation, HACCP and other programs.
• Organize various OSHA programs for Compliance as they relate to Quality Assurance
or quality in general.
• Organize and lead various team projects and activities.
• Leader of HACCP team-review/revise program. Insure that pre-shipment reviews are
completed correctly and on a timely basis.
